EPR in Spain

Being EPR compliant in Spain is not a pain

What are the EPR requirements in Spain?

As of December 2022, product producers are required to register in the public producer register in accordance with the new packaging act published. Producers have to ensure the collection of packaging waste through a take-back system, and registration numbers have to be on all official documents used in throughout the whole lifecycle of the product. Those who sell electronic products, would of course, have to be compliant with this Royal Decree as well.

For foreign producers, especially those who put their products on the Spanish market through online platforms such as Amazon, Temu, etc., this would mean an extra cost and work, as they would require an authorised representative to be able to register on the Spanish register. For that, our team at eLing is ready to help lighten the burden by making the registration process as simple as it can be, and the price, as lightweight on the pocket as possible.
